Claude Monet

Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris, France. Monet is considerd by many to be the front-runner of the Impressionist movement*. The predominant element in not only Monet's paintings but al the Impressionist painters during this time period was color. Many of Monets portraits were landscapes and they had a strong emphasis on different color tones you would see in a landscape. Monet always called color his "Day-Long Obsession, Joy, and Torment". Monet always worked with Lighting and Atmospheric Conditions to bring out the color in his paintings. Weather would aways be a in Monet's work when he would study and view the scenery. ONe of Monet's most well known series was his Waterlillies series which he painted in 9 sections.

I enjoy monet's artwork. He is the best impressionist to me. Many of his paintings were pictures of landscape. Also he painted a picture in nine sections called waterlilies

Claude Monet was born in Paris in 1840. He was considered to have been the basis for the Impressionist movemnt. All Impressionist painters used huge amounts of color in their artworks. Monet used landscapes as the main subject of most of his paintings. One of the most prominent series of Monet's was his Waterlillies series.

Monet was an impressionist painter. Many of his work was landscapes. He worked with lighting and atmospheric conditions. Weather was always in his work. His most know work was his Waterlilles series. i dont like this artist at all his work is just not good in any way.

CLaude Monet was an Immpressionist painter. THe main element in his paintings was color. He painted landscapes. He did not have much contour on his paintings.He painted the famous painting waterlilies.

He was a very interesting painter, from his stokes to his forms.

Claude Monet is oftem considered the first ever impressionist artist. He would paint the same thing over and over again in different weather conditions and light settings. He was most interested in painting landscapes.His paintings of Water Lilies was one of his most popular paintings.

I'm not a huge fan of impressionistic paintings, but i can admire Monet's work.

Using 9 different sections, Monet painted Waterlilies. One thing that would alter Monet's paintings was weather. Lastly, I think monet was a great painter. I think it was cool that he called his color a day-long obsession, joy and torment.
